WELCOME
It is a wonderful sunny day in 2005.
Young Jennifer, walking in a park, gets suddenly an excellent idea. She
is taking her portable
telephone-fax-computer-TV-browser-notebook
and starts writing a letter. The device is small. Its screen is large.
But - where is
the keyboard? Well, keyboards have
become obsolete for this type of device.
Hello, my name is IVAN KUPKA, I am a mathematician and
here is some information about my project and my inventions.
about me
Project: Writing on "portables" in the 21th century.
Objective: Finding and developping
a system of "writing"
that will enable us to write more
quickly and easily while
using mobile phones, handheld computers
and all future
portable multimedia devices.
I have been thinking about the problem since
the february 1998, when I realised, that this is one of the challenges
of the FUTURE THAT IS COMING:
Today`s multimedia technology is bringing a convergernce of audio, visual and textual data. Portable devices are used more and more. They are smaller and smaller. We need more space for screens. This space is blocked by smallish keyboards. Smallish keyboards are unpopular. During the last months I have found several principles, how to "write" without a keyboard, how to transmit information in the kinesthetical channel without a keyboard (or without a stylus). |
Some companies may be interested only in concrete
ideas how to improve "writing" on their present products. My ideas can
help to do that. When I saw the new Compaq Aero 2100 I was capable to propose
a major improvement of the system of writing used on it after several hours
of thinking.
I am not an expert in mobile phones or handheld computers. Nevertheless, if a new product is shown to me, usually I can imagine how to improve its system of writing. GENERAL ideas are easy to apply in MANY concrete cases. |
BUT MY DREAM IS TO GO FURTHER.
The real challenge is to create a new basis, serving as a platform
for the transmitting of information in the kinesthetic channel in a smarter
way - for most types of the future portable devices.
"Smarter" can mean faster, or in a more user-friendly way, or permitting
to "write" thousands of signs in a simply way (think of the Chinese and
Japanese markets!), it can mean easy-to learn etc. A standardised solution
should represent a balanced combination of these characteristics.
I would like to stress, that the virtue of my inventions is not connected
with one single genial idea. Neither it is a question of a new technological
approach. To obtain something really revolutional, my general ideas need
to be recombined, developped, improved. They need to be implemented, these
implementations need to be tested. And patented.
Would your company like to sponsor
me in the patenting process? Or would you prefer my working inside your
company while concrete results will be developped? I would prefer to work
in a small creative team and I think the "base" I am speaking about could
be created within 6-12 months. Some concrete partial improvements - new
products or new software for the old ones - could be developped within
1-3 months.
I repeat: The most valuable thing I can offer are not the ideas I have found but the ones, that are hidden in my unconscious mind. The best solutions are waiting THERE. How do I know it? It is always so when I am thinking about a problem more than a year. After that I need only some more inspiration, stimulation and cooperation to make these ideas appear in a conscious form.
